I'm having a problem with long loading times when opening image files in Ps. This is my config,
Win 7 Enterprise Sp1
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz (3401 MHz)
8 Gb RAM
NVIDIA Quadro NVS 295 (256 Mb)
Adobe PS CS5
v12.1 x64
For example,
opening an 58 kB JPG file,
it takes 6 sec before the mousepointer starts spinning, then 4 sec before the file is opened, total of 10 sec.
Opening from Bridge, it takes 5 sec.
If I open the same file with any other software reading jpg, it opens immediately.
Another example,
when opening an 2600 kb PSD file,
it takes 9 sec before the mousepointer starts spinning, then 4 sec before the file is opened, total of 13 sec.
Opening from Bridge, it takes 10 sec.
Both files are stored locally on my pc.
Is this "normal", considering system config, or is there something I can do to speed things up a bit ??
