スマートシャープのシャドウ・ハイライトの補正量ですが、人の目は明るいエッジの方がよく見えてしまい、暗いエッジが見えにくい為、シャドウ・ハイライト共に同じ量のUSMを適用しますと、白っぽく見えてしまいますので、ハイライト側の補正量は40%程度シャドウは0％が良いかと思います。 ドラムスキャナでもUSMはライト側4ボルト、シャドウ側7ボルトが適切でした。
