Hello and thanks for the reply. Control+Option (if forgot to say that I'm a Macbook Pro user) works to make the bush bigger and smaller. The part I seem to be missing is that up until today I would have a red overlay inside the brush that would show the size, opacity, and hardness of the brush. The red overlay is missing now. If you have any ideas what I did or more importantly how to get the overlay back, I'd love to know. Thanks again.

Photoshop works in pixels. So the nearest document size to 285mm in whole pixel numbers (you have set 300 pixels /inch) is 3366 which takes up 284.988mm

In the past, I was able to select text, position my cursor to the right of the font size at the top of the screen, use my up and down arrow keys to change the font and at the same time, see the changes. Now I can still use the arrow keys to adjust BUT the changes are not visible until I hit enter. Same goes for leading changes.
Now I read online about the leading issue and see that Adobe has a release version 19.0.1 to fix the issue. I am running 19.0 and Creative Cloud and "updates" from Photoshop do not show any updates available.
My Output Settings reset every day since upgrading to Photoshop CC 2018 a month ago. I save them every morning and the next day they are completely reset to default again. I've never had this issue with Photoshop CC 2017.
I've saved the settings in their own .iros file in ~/Library/Preferences/Adobe Photoshop CC 2018 Settings/Optimized Output Settings and also save them as Default Settings.iros. It doesn't matter. I start and save a file with the settings I want and everything works as expected. When I open that file the next day, all the settings are reset again. It doesn't matter if I've left Photoshop or the same file open, they are saved incorrectly the next morning. I shouldn't have to reselect the settings for this every day!
Does anyone have a solution for this issue?
Not all brushes have hardness control.

Printing from PS my prints are discolored
If I had dug a little deeper before making this post, I would have seen this is an issue. It blows my mind how an "upgrade" with this major flaw would have even been released and now it's been some time since this was recognized, I wonder how long before the fix?
Still have the issue with being unable to upgrade to 19.0.1 though although I don't think it's really a requirement to get it since it doesn't solve the problem anyways.
More information will be needed – which version of PS and OS, is your monitor calibrated, what do you mean by discoloured, are you printing from RGB color mode and using your desk-top printer's software to convert to CMYK / CMYK+, and so on?

I'm using PS creative cloud with LR. I just updated so its the latest version of photoshop. I've been using LR for a while now and just started editing on PS but when I save my photos and print them the color is off. I've never had this issue with LR. My photos look great on my monitor but when I go to upload and print them look awful.

Well the trick works for me, however, sometimes I use the first workspace without tabs to drop one file on another, and I have to use a trick to use that (untabbing by driging the frame out of the tabs)

No my monitor is not calibrated but I've never had this issue with LR, it's only photoshop. I have gone into the Edit and convert to profile where the sRGB format was different but it's still not printing like it would from LR. I usually go to a local printer or send my prints off to Millers.
Some of my Actions quit working after the fall PS 2018 updates.
They were working up until Sept/Oct time frame. Now they hang, or they have pauses that I have to click on to continue.
I'm running Win 10 64-bit, 28 GB RAM, Intel i7 CPU, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 (GPU)
I'm moved those same actions to a windows 10 32-bit machine running Photoshop 5.5, and they run normally. Unfortunately, this machine has a monitor that cannot be calibrated, and runs quite a bit slower than my main PC. This killing my work flow.
Is there a way to go back to a previous version of PS CC?

And if so, when it goes to print, with the placed Photoshop image set at exactly 220 x 280 mm in InDesign -- it'll be such a small distortion as to be neglible/undetectable?
Yes you can go back to other version. You might also want to try and rerecord the steps in the action or the entire action to make it work with 2018.

Unfortunately that folder is empty Ahmed and I've already deleted them via preset manager Dave but they still come back. I also saved the workspace after to see if it would help but no.
Well I found them. They're in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2018\Required called Default Tool Presets and if I deleted them I got PS giving me an error message telling me it can't find the default presets and if I put them back I get Brushbox giving me an error if I don't sync. them. I had to create a tool preset set of 1 and rename it default tool presets and overwrite the real defaults. At least it's a tool I'll use though. What a palava, thanks for trying guys
You've got it. Like I say Photoshop works its canvas to the nearest whole pixel. As far as the difference is concerned - if you can see .01mm you have better eyes than I have .
