When removing a license, the system asks for technical support.

yesterday, a technical support staff confirmed that only he can remove licenses, and guaranteed that the support service will work, and when they contact them, they immediately remove the licenses I need.

I was talking about dealing with the usual individual membership. Maybe you have a different licensing system and need to contact Adobe – we are only volunteers on this forum.

If it is a second hand camera it could contain the last owners information, so check the camera.

Well, there used to be because you can see that I did it on numerous photos and it worked like a charm. I haven't downloaded any updates, so I can't figure out why it used to work, but doesn't now. As a matter of fact, it literally worked one day and then the next when I came in to do some additional work, it quit working. It is very frustrating.

Thank you to everyone who has researched this and if anyone figures out how to get that option back, PLEASE let me know.

BTW, thanks to all of you for not laughing at my feeble attempts at restoration.

So you're expecting CS6 to work on the latest Mac system? I don't think anyone promised that.

PS CC 2018 crashes my Mac

Mac OS 10.13.5.

Fresh install of PS CC.

As soon as PS is started it crashes the Mac (brief spinning beach ball followed by a complete hang of the machine) every time without fail, sometimes on start up, but always within a few seconds.

I've tried many of the fixes I've found on various forums, but to no avail.  I've many, many applications on this computer and they all work faultlessly except photoshop.

Anyone have a clue?

Have you tried resetting the Photoshop preferences, which you can do under the General tab in Photoshop preferences.

It is optional step to flatten image because I believe that's what this guy wants. He has mentioned that in the initial post. With Sample All Layers in Options bar for Eyedropper when playing action everything still works fine but action will be more complex because the document may have or have not Background layer.

Re: Technique needed for neutralizing the values of a photo

Marie,

your question should probably be corrected as suggested by norman.sanders:

"Is there a technique I could you to approximate "removing" value from a scene, and leaving behind only hue and chroma?

For example, take every pixel to the same middle value whilst make the least possible change to their hue and chroma?"

Yes, the same middle Value, which has to be nonzero, otherwise the color would be black.

As aready explained, use HLS or CIELab or, referring to your nomenclature, Munsell:

CIELab: constant L*, planes a*,b*

or in polar coordinates Angle, Radius, which can be considered by practicioners as Hue, Chroma.

http://docs-hoffmann.de/cielab03022003.pdf

p.15 – p.43

Munsell: constant Value, plane Hue, Chroma

http://docs-hoffmann.de/munsell15052009.pdf

p.43, p.44

Is it this what you mean by "neutralizing the values of a photo?

I had all  kinds of problems printing cards I had made earlier - PS keep crashing. This is on PC - not Mac

Your suggestion to reset preferences seems to have solved the problem!!

Thanks

Frank
